As we continue to expand, we're looking for a motivated Senior Accountant - Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future of our firm.Position SummaryAs our Senior Accountant - Manager, you will lead a team of skilled accounting technicians and play an integral role in operational decision-making. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical accounting expertise with team management and strategic input. You will work closely with partners and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery and contribute to the continuous improvement of our practice.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support a team of accounting technicians.Oversee the preparation of financial statements, corporate tax returns, and other deliverables for a variety of clients.Review work for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to firm standards.Collaborate with partners in key operational and strategic decisions.Maintain and build strong client relationships through proactive communication and support.Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement best practices.Assist in staff training, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives.QualificationsCPA designation required.5+ years of experience in a public practice environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role.Strong understanding of Canadian accounting for private enterprises (ASPE) and review engagements (no audits).Strong understanding of Canadian tax returns (personal, corporate, trusts).Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.A collaborative mindset with the ability to balance client service and team development.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, Xero) is an asset.What We OfferA supportive and inclusive team environment.Competitive compensation package, including benefits and performance incentives.Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.A modern and flexible workplace.BenefitsDental careExtended health careOn-site parkingPaid time offExperiencePublic Practice: 5 years (preferred)Supervisory or Management: 1 year (preferred)Licence/CertificationCPA Designation (preferred)Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
