OverviewShape the Future of our cities, major infrastructure and environment.We are seeking a Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer to play a vital role in utilities and external works engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects at home and abroad.We specialise in civil infrastructure engineering and are looking for people with broad experience of utilities and external works to work across sectors including Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Water. We provide engineering solutions through the project lifecycle with client-side support from concept through to construction. If you are passionate about the industry, we would love to talk to you.We currently have opportunities in our Bristol office.Your RoleLead a team to undertake technical design work to relevant design standards and codes and to a high level of quality.Provide a practical, multidisciplinary understanding of utilities, external works, and drainage integration within civil infrastructure, manage stakeholder interfaces and ensure proper integration.Prepare briefs, scopes of work and input into bid proposals.Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.LocationBristol, Bristol, England, United KingdomQualificationsComprehensive Utilities Knowledge - Understanding of gas, power, water and communication networks in design, construction and operation, with familiarity of UK design standards.Design & Site Experience - Hands-on experience in utilities and external works, including multidisciplinary design delivery and coordinating utilities design.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to assess complex utilities scenarios and proactively address risks.Stakeholder and Project Coordination - Experience engaging with statutory utility providers and other stakeholders to ensure effective design integration and timely delivery.Professional Qualifications - Chartered Engineer in relevant discipline.Wherever you are in your career – AtkinsRéalis is for you.
