Design Lead - Fire Protection AtkinsRéalis Engineering Services Department is looking for a Design Lead – Fire Protection to support a nuclear project. The role is full‑time, permanent, and based in Toronto or Ottawa. Overview We are looking for innovative, forward‑thinking people who enjoy challenge and actively seek to develop and improve work processes. Your role Lead and coordinate a team of fire protection engineers and specialists for all fire protection activities. Maintain accountability of the commitment to project deliverables. Act as a client facing interface with project stakeholders (installers, owner, authority having jurisdiction). Provide technical guidance for various disciplines across the project as it relates to fire protection. Moderate technical meetings. Travel to project sites and AtkinsRéalis offices located in the Toronto area. About You Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or diploma in fire protection engineering technology, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of fire protection engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with PEO. Certification from Engineering Association is an asset. Expert knowledge of NBCC, NFCC, CSA N293, NFPA, ULC standards. Good understanding of fire protection systems (fire alarm and suppression). Submit for and maintain a federal security clearance and valid driving license.
