As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking a Solar Design Student, for our Solar District that is available for 4-16 months starting May 2026.As a Solar Design Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:ResponsibilitiesReviews RFP documentation for key design requirementsDesigns, reviews and/or validates solar facility layouts relative to RFP documents using/creating plans, specifications, and other informationCalculates energy losses for designsPrepares/draws detailed site layouts using electrical single line diagrams using AutoCADSupports estimating with quantity takeoffs and preconstruction efforts (e.g. design coordination, constructability review, project planning)Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issuesDevelops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholdersQualificationsCandidates must have a strong desire to work in a design functionStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsSuperior attention to detailAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentApplication of various computer software programs will be required, including AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel)The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.34, based on your experience and qualifications.
