Invest in Canada is looking for a temporary Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Business Intelligence Team in guiding and informing the organization on key markets, target sectors and potential clients/investors, and is both a curious and detail‑oriented individual. Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, this role will identify, analyze, and evaluate geographical, economic, and industry data points in relation to foreign direct investment and synthesize their findings. Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited, to the following: Analyze economic and industry trends and provides market insights to inform decision making and targeting efforts. Coordinate and prepare investment attraction materials including proposals on Canada’s value proposition, presentations, and industry profiles. Contribute to strategy development on investment pitches, sector strategies and outgoing communications in collaboration with internal teams. Prepare briefing material, fact sheets and marketing collateral. Review and analyze data on FDI markets, industries, sectors and investors in order to identify pertinent narratives to support strategic projects, compile contextual research and synthesize insights. Collaborate with all business units to compile market information and statistics on the Canadian FDI landscape; conduct research and collect information on sectoral strengths and opportunities in Canada to accelerate business decisions. Coordinate and manage daily, weekly, and quarterly research tasks. Requirements Post secondary studies in Economics, Public Policy, International Affairs, or relevant program. Experience drawing relevant insights from market data and research. Expertise and/or great interest in international business, capital markets, and foreign direct investment. Fluency in French considered an asset. Exceptional analytical skills. A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Ability to multi‑task, manage tight deadlines and thrive in a busy, fast‑paced environment. Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
