Our technologies include raw water pretreatment, filtration, ion exchange, demineralization, degasification, hot lime softening, boiler make-up, condensate polishing, wastewater treatment, cooling, and oil/water separation for markets such as petrochemical/chemical, power generation, and heavy industrial plants.We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic individual to join our Aftermarket Services team. The Service Technician will communicate with customers, identify new business opportunities, and respond to service requests related to industrial water treatment systems across North America. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, pre-commissioning, start-up, site operator training, and optimizing Marmon Industrial Water equipment at customer sites.ResponsibilitiesAct as the point of contact for customers on site, responding to queries and concerns.Checkout equipment in our assembly shop and/or at customer sites.Commission systems at customer sites, initially with a senior technician.Troubleshoot, evaluate, and test PLC & HMI application programs.Remove, repair, adjust, and replace components.Assist in programming electrical components and equipment.Consult diagrams, schematics, manuals, standards, and codes.Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure timely resolution of customer issues.Provide on-site technical service and support.Diagnose faults and prepare reports.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsUniversity or college degree in instrumentation, electrical, or water treatment chemistry.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Relevant technical experience.Organized with effective time management and communication skills.Willingness to learn about water treatment equipment.Ability to respond to urgent issues in fast-paced environments.Detail-oriented and accurate.Highly motivated and a high achiever.Ability to learn independently and work in a team.Willing to take additional courses, possibly at night (e.g., PLC/HMI programming).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Travel RequirementsValid G2 driver’s license.Willingness and ability to travel throughout North America (~20-50%).Learn more at www.marmonindustrialwater.com.Marmon Industrial Water is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
