As a data / information catalog specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the platform of products that empower the business to Know Their Data, Govern Their Data, and Use Their Data – with confidence and clarity. You will be at the forefront of information management innovation delivering features to the platform that have a real impact on how quickly solution teams can maximize data value while keeping its data quality and trust measures transparent. What will you do? We are seeking an experienced Information Management & Governance Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining features for our metadata management platform (Collibra). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance, metadata management along with experience with Collibra’s suite of products. Configure and manage Collibra's data governance, and metadata management modules Develop and implement workflows, and validation processes using Collibra Develop and maintain documentation of Collibra configurations, data models, and workflows Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Collibra, data governance, and metadata management Stay up to date with the latest Collibra product releases and features Develop and maintain entitlement models Must-have: Experience with information management modeling – translating business requirements into consumable data models and workflows using standard modeling language(s) (e.g., BPMN, ER, UML) Proven hands‑on design modeling and configuration experience with the Collibra platform demonstrated by delivering at least two different projects/solution designs/deployments implementing Collibra Experience designing workflows for implementation in Collibra Workflow implementation experience Excellent collaboration and communication skills – both verbal and written Post‑secondary diploma or degree in computer programming/engineering, business, or related discipline Availability to work 3-4 days/week in downtown Toronto office location Nice-to-have: EDM Council DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model) v2 or v3 certification SQL Job Skills Groovy, BPMN (Business Process Model & Notation), Collibra, SQL, UML Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting and Banking Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Apex Systems by 2x We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
