Our full-time post offer you the opportunity to develop skills across the acute inpatient setting. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and professional individuals to join our friendly and supportive Therapy Service (Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy).Therapy Services sits as part of the wider Rehabilitation Service which includes Dietetics and Speech & Language Therapy. You will be joining a well-established multi-disciplinary service. You will be encouraged and supported to develop your clinical and teaching skills and be actively involved in service development. We offer preceptorship, action learning sets, clinical and managerial supervision and performance appraisals.Cross site working is a MUST for this role.Our 6-month rotations include:Orthopaedics (2 rotations)StrokeCombined Medicine, Critical Care & Surgery.Main duties of the jobTo take responsibility for continuing to develop as an occupational therapist, both clinically and professionally.To contribute to the management of patients and the overall development of the team whilst working in all rotational clinical areas/specialities as a Band 5 occupational therapist.To communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team whilst carrying out rotational placements.About usPriority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust's redeployment process.Job responsibilitiesPlease see attached the person specification and job description for more details regarding this role.Person SpecificationQualificationsDegree/Diploma in Occupational TherapyHCPC RegisteredA member of RCOTExperienceWide variety of fieldwork placements in core rotationsAcute Hospital ExperienceKnowledgeSound level of theoretical knowledgeBasic knowledge of the multi-disciplinary teamDemonstrate evidence of working within a Multi-disciplinary teamKey Skills/AbilitiesAble to work as a team member and independentlyAbility to present information in logical concise mannerAbility to manage own time and pressure including clinical caseloadAbility to demonstrate personal and clinical effectiveness to achieve optimum patient careStrong belief in CPD and Reflective PracticeIndependently mobile to access all work sites within job roleDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
