Junior Electrical Engineer

Reporting to the Director, SK Engineering, the Junior Electrical Engineer contributes to the design and delivery of electrical distribution projects, based out of Regina or Saskatoon.Responsibilities:Design of underground and overhead electrical distribution infrastructure (4kV – 25kV system voltages).Learning industry best practices as demonstrated by experienced electrical engineering staff.Electrical and mechanical engineering calculations for underground and overhead systems.Design coordination with customers, municipal authorities, other utilities & various project stakeholders.Project schedule management and tracking.Customer meetings and site inspections.Being part of a great team and shaping the future of the industry.Other duties as required.Qualifications:An Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized institution. Should be eligible to apply for Engineer-In-Training (APEGS) designation.Great interpersonal skills with the ability to develop business relationships conducted in a professional manner.Strong collaborative skills and willingness to liaise with other disciplines (drafting, construction, survey, and civil) to ensure projects are accurate, compliant, on time, and on budget.A passion for your work and a drive for excellence.Valid Class 5 driver’s license.Additional Assets:Experience in an electrical utility environment or related engineering environment, with experience in design and cost estimating of electrical distribution projects.Experience with AutoCAD, Small World GIS, MS Office, and distribution design software.Experience with PLS-CADD, CYME, or AGI31. #J-18808-Ljbffr
