Front Office Hosts are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquiries. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Host. Starting wage for this position is $25.49 per hour, after 6 months wage is $29.74 per hour, and after 1 year wage is $33.99 per hour. Qualifications Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environmentMust be available to work various shifts, especially Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and holidays (mornings, afternoons and graveyard shifts) as required by business needsMust have the ability to stand for long periods of timeMust possess refined and professional verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and be very detail orientedPrevious experience in Opera property management system is an assetPrevious Front Desk hotel experience is preferredMust have previous cash handling experienceKnowledge of basic math skills requiredMust have previous customer service experienceMust have proven experience in making quick and efficient decisionsMust be able to interact with a diverse group of individualsMust have ability to upsell – previous experience is an assetKnowledge of a second language is an asset Physical Aspects of Position Constant standing throughout shiftConstant writing, typing and computing throughout shiftFrequent walking throughout the shiftOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and liftingOccasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps Our family is always growing.
