Stantec supports a hybrid work arrangement allowing staff to balance working from home and the office. Your Key Responsibilities Leading engineering design for: River infrastructure including water intakes, outfalls, dams and weirs, fishways, flood protection, erosion control, river training, and protective works. Watercourse crossings such as bridges, pipelines, roads and other linear infrastructure. Fish habitat and watercourse restoration using bioengineering techniques. Flood inundation and flood hazard mapping. Managing projects, administering contracts, and controlling budgets. Proposal writing and business development initiatives. Contract document preparation, including detailed design drawings and specifications. Construction contract administration and site inspection services. Mentoring and on‑the‑job training to junior staff. Your Capabilities and Credentials Demonstratable understanding and experience using HEC‑RAS (1D and 2D) and other hydraulic modelling software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Civil or Water Resources Engineering; a Master’s in Engineering may be favorably considered. 10 years consulting experience, directly related to river engineering, water resources and municipal infrastructure. Registration as a professional engineer with EGBC or qualifications to obtain this registration at the start of employment. This position provides a flexible work arrangement. Pay Range Locations in Lower Mainland – BC – Min Salary $128,800.00 – Max Salary $193,100.00 Pay Transparency In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
