Advise clients (management, supervisors, and workers) on compliance with OHSA & regulations, and regulatory bodiesConduct site health & safety inspections for low-rise, high-rise construction projects and industrial facilitiesEnforce OHSA, regulations, and employer-specific safety requirementsDevelop, coordinate, and conduct training presentations related to H&S compliance (e.g. spill responses, fire safety training, workplace violence and harassment, H&S programs)Ensure health and safety compliance for constructors, trades, and subcontractorsConduct health and safety orientation for workers, trades, and subcontractorsPresent safety talks with workers on various health and safety topicsDevelop and distribute safety memos and alerts, when requiredAssist clients with coordination and completion of Joint Health & Safety Committees and Worker Trades CommitteesCreate customized traffic control plans in accordance with Construction Regulation 213/91, municipal requirements, and MTO Book 7Advise on and develop site-specific safe work procedures and job hazard analysis for high-risk tasksComplete full investigations and follow up implementation of corrective actions for various types of incidents (near misses, medical injuries, critical injuries)Liaison with MLITSD representatives during site visits and ensure timely compliance with MLITSD ordersAssist with full implementation and maintenance of health & safety management systems (including COR™) on construction projectsWe seek individuals who are:Critical thinkers with the ability to be client-focusedExcellent time management and organizational skills. Must be able to work autonomously and manage schedule for the week, while being flexible for on-call client requests, emergencies, and tight deadlines.Confident in fast-paced work environment and able to work autonomously with proven resultsA collaborative team player that will develop and build internal and external relationshipsBring a robust enthusiasm for workplace safety with strong abilities to educate their client baseSelf-disciplined individual with an ability to work in an ever-changing environmentAble to handle client bases of all sizes, as well as high-scale projectsAble to track and review subcontractor H&S submissions for completion and accuracy (SWPs, JHAs, daily task hazard analysis, hot work permits) where requiredComfortable spending long periods in a construction environment of standing and walking through active job sites (5+ hours per day)Effective communicators that can interact with on site staff, visitors, subcontractors, trades, clients and vendorsAttentive to detail and accuracyHave excellent interpersonal skillsStrong presenterApply For This Position By Filling Out The Form Below. #J-18808-Ljbffr
