Senior Project Manager

LeverageTek is actively seeking an Senior Project Manager for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.Work LocationHybrid (Edmonton or Calgary)Key TasksLead and oversee the transition of complex healthcare services between public sector organizations.Provide end-to-end project management with a strong emphasis on change management and stakeholder alignment.Engage and manage diverse stakeholder groups, including healthcare providers, government bodies, professional associations, and unionized workforces.Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, risks, and dependencies aligned to fixed delivery deadlines.Lead communications and change management strategies to support service transitions and workforce impacts.Facilitate alignment and decision-making across diverse and, at times, competing stakeholder interests.Navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements while maintaining momentum toward critical milestones.Serve as a client-facing lead, representing the initiative with professionalism and diplomacy.Monitor and report on project status, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.Key Qualifications10+ years of progressive experience as a Senior Project Manager, delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, change management, and communication in high-ambiguity environments.Experience managing projects involving unionized staff and workforce-related impacts.QualificationsHealthcare, government, or public-sector project experience strongly preferred.Ability to operate effectively in low-structure, high-pressure environments with fixed deadlines.Excellent organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.Candidate must be comfortable working with senior and challenging stakeholdersProven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and stakeholdersExecutive presence with the ability to present to and engage senior leadershipExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsComfortable working in a hybrid model with in-person meetings as required.Available to work Mountain Time business hours (8–4 or 9–5).Demonstrated ability to synthesize diverse viewpoints and drive consensus among senior stakeholders.AssetsStrong understanding of healthcare and/or government environments, ideally within Alberta.PMP, Scrum, or other relevant certificationCompensationHourly Rate NegotiableThis is an existing position vacancy.About LeverageTek Staffing SolutionsFounded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
