As aField Service Technician, you will operate on-site to perform preventative maintenance, repair equipment, and install replacement parts related to RYKO, MacNeil, Belanger and competitor's vehicle wash equipment and accessories. The Service Technician will also train customers on basic equipment maintenance. Job Duties Perform service work on vehicle wash equipment and accessories including troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems to ascertain the needed corrective action Replace, repair, or adjust parts and systems as necessary In accordance with preventative maintenance contracts, the technician inspects, lubricates, and checks wax and detergent levels as applicable Run equipment through 'cycles' to ensure the complete system is functioning properly Advises customers of necessary service work and make recommendations to customers regarding replacement of worn or damaged parts, systems, etc. Following unit installation, inspects equipment to ensure proper function Provide information and training to customers regarding proper operation and general maintenance of equipment Develop and maintain good rapport with customers, constantly striving to provide outstanding service and ensure customer satisfaction\May deliver parts, chemicals, or supplies to customers Complete work orders, expense reports, and daily/weekly time logs Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment changes or modifications through various resources such as maintenance manuals, service bulletins & how-to videos in our Learning Management System (LMS), or engineering documents Maintains proper inventory of parts on service vehicle and in warehouse. Reports level of field inventory as required Keeps Service and District Manager informed of all significant problems, progress, or barriers to success Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, POST and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies Any other duties as assigned by the Installation/Service Manager Must be local to North Bay/Sudbury, ON area. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 experience as a Service Technician in a related area Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations within the past 5 years; no more than 2 preventable, at-fault accidents within the past 5 years No impaired driving convictions within the past 10 years and no charges currently pending Ability to use basic math and writing skills Must have demonstrable interest and aptitude in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work through school or hobby interest including using meters and ACDC power supply Ability to comprehend and interpret equipment, operation, and maintenance manuals and instructions Ability to successfully work independently or within a team Forklift experience and/or ability to obtain forklift certification Committed to customer satisfaction and ability to adapt/respond to different personalities Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Intermediate computer skills, and experience with Microsoft and Google Suite programs Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills Must have adequate sight to read installation and other engineering documentsand/or work orders and other field service documents Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift items of light to heavy weight, up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend intermittently and repeatedly stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions, using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, climb ladders, and stand for prolonged periods Hourly Wage Range $25-31 based on experience.
