We embrace a holistic, resident centric approach to care by delivering personalized services at the highest quality.How YOU Make a DifferenceLPNs are responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.LPNs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication.LPNs implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plans and make changes as required.LPNs complete and ensure resident’s clinical care assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date and communicate changes as required.LPNs teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers, providing them with coaching & mentorship.Open availability required which may include days, evenings, and nights on short noticeWhat YOU BringCurrent registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable provinceDemonstrated sound clinical knowledgeExperience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferredEducation and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an assetStrong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the roleFocus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationshipsStrong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skillsDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsComputer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applicationsCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification requiredCurrent (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain oneHow We Recognize YOUService recognitionEmployee appreciation eventsAn open and engaging team that welcomes input for new ideas and programsCogir is committed to ensuring that all employment practices are inclusive.
