Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of the construction of an ongoing project. The ideal candidate will have start-to-finish project experience and share our commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.This position is located in Kelowna, BC, and works directly on the project site.What you'll do:Manage multiple residential mid-rise wood frame/hybrid construction projects concurrentlyBuild and maintain a master construction schedule with a clear critical pathControl budget, schedule, and resource allocationCreate and support strong team morale, professional development, and work ethicDemonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflictAct in a manner that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding project expectationsHandle potential problems, work interferences, and schedule conflicts/setbacksExhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changesCollaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and staffNegotiate subcontracts and major purchasesOversee quality assurance and risk managementEnsure compliance with safety regulations and building codesResolve design and construction challengesCreate lasting and effective professional relationshipsMonitor and report progress to stakeholdersManage any environmental or local community issues that arise during a projectWhat youll bring:Minimum 7 years of experience in residential or mixed-use wood frame/hybrid constructionExperience with concrete foundations including podium-style parking garage/suspended slabsPost-secondary education in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related fieldCertificate in Project Management would be an assetStart-to-finish experience with wood frame projectsProficiency in computer skills and strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Timberline and other construction management softwareExperience with BIM is considered an assetConflict resolution and conflict management experienceHighly organized with superb time management skillsExcellent communication skills and interpersonal abilitiesAbout us:We create places for people to flourish.
