This role will work closely with the corporate Customer Service team and utilize multiple transportation modes, including truck and railroad systems.The RolePrepare, release and distribute shipping documents for outbound product shipments and containersEnsure timely and accurate communication with the operators and leadership team for loaded and empty railcar containersCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain appropriate inventory levelsAdministrationHandle incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipmentsEnsure office equipment is operational (printers, scanners, shredders etc) and manage office/kitchen suppliesAct as the liaison with corporate IT to address plant IT and hardware issuesProvide administrative support to the site leadership team, including filing, scanning and other duties as assignedMaintain site visitor, contractor and driver safety orientation recordsThe Person1-3 years of experience in a logistics or transportation roleCollege diploma in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or a related field is a strong assetDemonstrated experience working with various modes of transportation (truck, rail, ocean freight) is an assetSolid understanding and familiarity of operational systems with the ability to use tools like Dayforce, Coupa, JD Edwards and MS Office.Strong organizational and communication skills with a high degree of attention to detailPersonable, individual must work well in a team environment.The Value You BringStrong health and safety mindsetStrong relationship builder – collaborative, team-builderFocused and results driven, transparent, and articulateResilient – can adapt to changing environments/technologyProactive – takes initiative, creative, stays ahead of the curve, enthusiastic, inspirationalWhat you’ll love about usWe take pride in providing our employees with a competitive compensation package to help promote your wellbeing and that of your family.
