OverviewJoin to apply for the Automation Test Engineer role at Cognizant.We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Automation Test Engineer who can design, develop, and execute automation scripts independently using a Python-based framework. You will be responsible for developing and enhancing next-generation Test Engineering Automation solutions as part of an Agile team for our banking clients.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks using Python (primary) or Java.Ensure comprehensive test coverage for both frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) components.Execute complex DB testing and automate data validation processes to ensure data integrity and performance.Integrate automated tests into the deployment pipeline to support continuous testing in an Agile environment.Apply an understanding of Generative AI platforms to test AI-driven features or utilize AI tools to optimize the testing lifecycle.Work closely with developers from the requirements phase to identify bugs early in the lifecycle.Required skillsOverall 5-8 years of hands-on automation testing experience.Strong experience in Python.Hands-on experience with Git and cloud-based configurations.Hands-on experience for DB testing and API testing.REST API and DB automation using Python/Java.Good understanding of Agile-based project delivery.GenAI platform understanding is required.Preferred skillsExperience on CRM/Salesforce is an added advantage.Experience in the banking domain is a plus.Working arrangementsWe believe hybrid work is the norm and strive to provide flexibility wherever possible.
