Job Title BI Engineer II – Skate, Data & Insights at Electronic Arts (EA) Description Electronic Arts creates next‑level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. The Data & Insights (D&I) team harnesses the power of data to deliver transformative insights and solutions to EA game teams and players. When you join D&I, you’ll collaborate with other data professionals as an embedded partner within the Full Circle studio and help enable more profound understanding, better ways of working, and meaningful experiences for our players. Main Responsibilities Develop self‑serve reporting solutions that delight partners and promote data‑informed decisions across the studio. Unify requirements from multiple stakeholders into cohesive BI product specifications. Build a custom web app that integrates data & insights from tools such as Looker dashboards, Streamlit apps, Google Slides, and Jupyter Notebooks. Define dashboard standards that result in high‑quality user experiences for the studio. Construct dashboards independently and partner with data analysts to build others. Required Qualifications 5+ years of industry experience developing reports and dashboards. Proficiency in visual design principles and best practices. Fluent in SQL for large‑scale data (e.g., terabyte‑scale). Expertise in end‑to‑end dashboard performance tuning (caching, query optimization, table structure). Experience using AI to accelerate BI workflows. Beneficial to Have Experience in the video game industry. 2+ years of Python or JavaScript experience. Experience working with unstructured datasets. Knowledge of relational, data warehouse, and data lake architecture. Web development skills (HTML, React). Looker Administration or LookML development experience. Proficiency with git‑based source control and CI/CD pipelines. Compensation and Benefits Pay ranges for this role in British Columbia are $100,000 – $139,500 CAD, with additional benefits such as vacation, sick time, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan, bonus and equity eligibility in certain roles.
