Huawei Canada has an immediate permanent opening for a Senior Principal Technical Planning Manager.About the jobStay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and research achievements in the industry and academia within the AI/ML domain, generating insightful technology reports.Drive the evaluation and adoption of cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and methodologies.Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic technical plans and lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of AI/ML projects.Understand pain points and mid-to-long-term requirements, fostering collaborations with local university professors and industry resources for joint projects.Identify new investment opportunities, advocate for the expansion of technology teams and increasing investments.Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the AI/ML team.About the ideal candidateEducational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for understanding and navigating a complex technical landscape.Demonstrated technical research and development experience in AI/ML domains.Experience in heterogeneous (CPU/GPU/NPU) computing, high performance AI computing architecture, Big Data and Graphic Processing is an asset.Possession of a keen sense of technology, enabling the ability to swiftly distill complex information and generate in-depth insight reports.Strong communication and presentation skills, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Adaptability to a global team and active participation in various external conferences to gather first-hand insights and stay abreast of the latest industry trends.The base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $350,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise. #J-18808-Ljbffr
