Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tractor trailer repair and be proficient in diagnosing and fixing issues related to trucks and trailers. This role requires hands‑on experience with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read schematics and perform electrical repairs. The licensed mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all units are safe, functional, and compliant with industry standards.DutiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs, including brakes, tires, lights, and electrical systems.Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and repair manuals.Utilize power tools and welding equipment to make necessary repairs or modifications.Conduct inspections to ensure trucks and trailers meet safety regulations and operational standards.Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.Operate heavy equipment as needed for repairs or maintenance tasks.Assist in heavy lifting and moving of units during the repair process.RequirementsProven experience in heavy trucks and trailer repair and service (oil changes, grease jobs, etc.)Strong understanding of schematics and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.Proficiency in welding techniques for metal repairs.Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation.Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.Have a valid class 5 licenseInspection license is an asset, but not a requirement.As a successful candidate, you will have a positive attitude, be a contributing team player, have a passion for a job well done and be willing & able to work long hours when needed.
