Be a part of a team that makes all that happenThe Science Camp Supervisor will lead a staff team in the delivery quality, hands-on, fun and entertaining science experiences for children (aged 4-14) across Northwestern Ontario from mid-June to late August. The supervisor will coordinate all program requirements, ensure the physical and emotional safety of all camp participants, work with a diverse group of children, communicate with parents, supervise and support a staff team and resolve program challenges.As Science North continues to grow our long-term presence in the North West, we are passionate about recruiting and hirng youth from Kenora to deliver and guide young science campers in their local communities. To help meet these goals, Science North is pleased to provide an additional $3 per hour location incentive on top of a competitive base hourly rate, for those individuals.Interested candidates must have excellent supervisory skills, outstanding communication abilities, demonstrated experience working with children and a passion for learning. Being a resident of the respective city of program delivery is an asset. Successful candidates must be prepared to submit a current (less than 3 months old at date of submission) Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check, a valid driver’s license reflecting a 3 year safe driving record and current First Aid certification.
