Skateboard Camp Leader (Casual)Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore. This summer camp leader team invites passionate individuals to create inclusive, safe, and engaging skateboarding experiences for youth.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and lead a variety of activities including skateboard lessons, games, and safety instruction.Develop lesson plans and camp itineraries that foster skill development and fun.Implement policies and procedures that support quality camp programs.Provide basic to intermediate skateboard skills instruction while maintaining a safe environment.Offer first aid and mentor other camp leaders and volunteers.Collaborate cooperatively with staff, parents, and volunteers to ensure safe, quality camp programs.QualificationsPrevious experience teaching skateboarding and working with children or running summer camps.Strong organizational, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and program planning skills.Creative, fun approach while working with people.Program DetailsThe Summer Camp sessions run during the daytime from June 29 – September 4, 2026. Hours and days of work vary depending upon position; up to 40 hours per week. Mandatory training dates: June 12 4 – 8 p.m. and June 13 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. This position has a pay structure that increases based on education and experience. Pay: $22.00 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits. Non-Union – Casual. Closing date: 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
