Job Description:The Maintenance Technical Lead responsibilities include but not limited to:Plan, coordinate, prioritize, assign, supervise, implement and review maintenance and repair activities to automotive testing equipment, facility equipment and buildings in support of ongoing operations.Oversee and direct the activities of a small multi-trade maintenance crew to complete required tasks in a safe and timely manner.Comply with the collective bargaining agreement, Canadian Electrical Code, TSSA, corporate policies and other applicable regulations in the organization and execution of maintenance activities.Develop maintenance strategies, programs and make improvements to existing policies.Troubleshoot automated testing system issues and determine corrective actionsManage all aspects of environmental health and safety conformance for the skilled tradesOversee a preventative maintenance program for automotive testing equipment and facilitiesPrioritize tasks based on urgency and workforce availabilityMaintain accurate hourly timekeeping records, vacation and time off requestsPoint of contact for janitorial services contract.Perform environmental inspections and coordinate waste pickups.Procure parts, material and rentals required to complete maintenance tasksTrack data for performance measurable such as Preventative Maintenance task completion, overtime, etc.Maintain good supplier/customer relations with internal customers and outside suppliersMonitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and equipmentRequirements:Certificate of Qualification as an electrician or an electrical engineering technologist (or equivalent)5-10 years of troubleshooting automated equipment with preference to automotive assembly or automotive component testing would be a benefitExperience in a unionized labour environment, 5 -10 years would be a benefit.Willingness to accept a wide variety of assignmentsKnowledge of Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code, OH&SA Regulations relating to industrial maintenance activitiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, ability to learn and operate other computer based and web based programsStrong project management, organizational, teamwork, written and verbal communication skillsMust have a valid driver's licenseWilling to work weekends as requiredEducation:Associate's DegreeWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
