Position: Property Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Chapel Hill, NC Position Summary Immediate opening for an experienced accounting professional to perform a range of accounting activities for an established and growing multifamily real estate management company that offers a great work environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform, review and manage the entire accounts payable process. Record bank deposits and perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities. Responsible for producing construction and reserves draws as needed. Follow up and resolve vendor questions or disputes. Assist with the month-end close process: review of financial statement coding. Prepare and maintain required information for 1099’s. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by manager and in support of the business. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to manage priorities and deadlines, and work within a monthly accounting schedule. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Strong written and oral communication skills Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities Ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels Commitment to excellence and high standards, acute attention to detail Possess working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook Demonstrated ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Education and Background requirements Previous Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable or Bookkeeping Experience is required. Knowledge of property management software, specifically OneSite is preferred. Candidates with a property accounting experience preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
