The Summer Student, Project Intake & Customer Projects supports our Customer Connections team in kicking off new customer projects and improving project processes. You’ll help review incoming customer project requests, assign them to project managers, attend field site visits to see how we scope and plan construction work, and help update our process and customer communication templates. It’s a hands‑on role that contributes to timely project delivery and excellent customer service. This position is part of the 2026 ENMAX Summer Student Program. It is a 16‑week structured program providing real‑world experience and mentorship. Applicants must be pursuing post‑secondary studies (Engineering, Project Management, Business, Communications or similar) and returning to full‑time studies after the summer. Major Responsibilities: Review customer project scope requests and initiate project setup, assigning project managers to new projects Attend field site visits with project managers to understand project scope and construction requirements Update and improve outgoing communication documents and templates used to inform customers about project status and requirements Support process updates and administrative functions for project intake and project management teams (tracking progress, updating documentation, etc.) Education Required: Currently enrolled in an Engineering, Project Management, Business or Communications program and returning to full‑time studies following the work term. Skills and Qualifications: Technical aptitude (educational background in engineering or related field) Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and interact with customers Basic project management understanding and excellent organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for tracking and documentation Safety awareness when participating in field visits or construction site meetings Competencies: Works safely Speaks and writes clearly, listens effectively and conveys messages with transparency Acts with integrity and takes accountability for actions Consistently applies good judgement and learns from past experience Carries out excellence and pride in accomplishments Promotes an environment that is respectful, inclusive and celebrates diversity Ensures a solid understanding of ENMAX’s strategy and contributes to the vision ENMAX Values: Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Service, Teamwork, Agility, Innovation Did we mention the ENMAX Advantage? Salary: Administrator Level B Step 1 – $24.82 / hour based on current CUPE Collective Agreement rates Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
