Branch General Manager – Mechanical & HVAC Sector Our client is a well‑known national manufacturer and distributor supporting commercial contractors, mechanical engineering firms, and developers across Canada’s HVAC market. With a strong presence in British Columbia, they pride themselves on exceptional service and a customer‑first approach. We are searching for a highly dedicated and proven Branch General Manager to lead sales and operations for their Victoria business unit. Location & Relocation – Based in Victoria, British Columbia. Candidates from Greater Vancouver/Fraser Valley will receive support for relocation to the island. Responsibilities Overall P&L responsibility and budget forecasting, achieving sales and gross profit targets. Hiring, training and developing employees to create a high‑performing team. Developing and implementing strategies to improve productivity. Identifying new markets and increasing market share. Managing multi‑department branch operations and warehousing, including inside sales, administration, logistics. Building a strong service and delivery team through recruiting, coaching, training, and mentoring. Ensuring all operations are managed safely and in accordance with the company’s values. Maintaining a strong customer‑service focus to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations preferred. Strong experience leading teams in a fast‑paced wholesale distribution ‘branch’ setting. Mechanical aptitude and knowledge, with prior experience in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, or related mechanical setting. Ability to strengthen existing procedures through continuous improvement initiatives and training. Experience creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures. Technical outside sales and business‑development experience an asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Capacity to lead by example and support sales and warehouse functions physically. Exceptional relationship‑building and leadership skills – professional and personal development focus. Analytical and critical thinking with a track record of multitasking.
