Job Description Job Description Job Title : Software Engineer Job Description Join a team dedicated to creating display solutions for public attractions that captivate millions globally. You will have the opportunity to learn from and contribute to an industry leader in display technologies, developing your skills in computer vision, projection, and spatial manipulation. Engage in building and experimenting with complete projection systems both virtually and physically, whether at your desk, in our labs, or on-site with customers. As part of an agile software team, you will write and maintain production code and unit test suites, collaborating closely with team members, users, and stakeholders. Responsibilities Create display solutions for public attractions viewed by millions worldwide. Develop skills in computer vision, projection, and spatial manipulation technologies. Build and test complete projection systems both virtually and physically. Write and maintain production code and unit test suites. Collaborate with team members, users, and stakeholders in an agile environment. Essential Skills Strong C++ skills with experience in any modern version (2017 version currently in use). 5 or more years of software development experience. Experience developing software in C++. Problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills. Object-oriented development skills. Strong desire for continuous learning. Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Computer / Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong mathematical skills, particularly in linear algebra. Experience with computer vision technologies and hardware. Experience developing software for distributed systems. Solid understanding of optimization and software performance evaluation. Work Environment Work in a collaborative team of five, reporting directly to the Senior Software Manager. The team operates in 3-week sprint cycles. Testing is primarily done through simulation due to the widespread deployment of projectors across the US, which are used almost daily. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kitchener, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 / hr.
