Software Requirements Engineer| ContractAs a Software Requirements Engineer at Sonova, you will play a key role in coordinating, creating, and consolidating product development documentation for our regulated medical software. Working within the Software Department, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and R&D to translate user and business needs into clear, actionable software specifications that help deliver life-changing hearing solutions.Responsibilities:Meet with stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of product requirementsLiaise with Product Managers to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for software projects including hearing aid firmware, desktop fitting software, and mobile applicationsCoordinate with R&D teams to evaluate technical and timeline feasibility, resolving requirement conflicts as neededTranslate requirements into unambiguous, testable software specifications for development teamsCollaborate on process improvements, documentation updates, and cross-functional communication to ensure project successPerform additional duties aligned with your skills to support software development outcomesMore about you:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Engineering, Science, or Software field preferred)2–5 years of experience in business analysis or requirements engineering in a technology environmentStrong analytical, communication, and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detailEffective collaborator with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesExperience in regulated software development lifecycles is an assetProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Familiarity with requirements management tools such as Polarion is a plusKnowledge of software usability principles or IREB CPRE-FL certification is an advantageThis position requires a minimum of 3 days per week in-office attendance at our Kitchener, ON location.A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.Don\'t meet all the criteria?
