Position SummaryReporting to the Director, Supply Planning, the Manager, has the responsibility to ensure the supply network will sustain the demand from the market in the most efficient way. The Manager, Supply Planning is responsible for analyzing and communicating network capacity constraints to the Supply Chain, Supply Planning team. This position will optimize supply to support commercial plan, incorporating capacity planning into the S&OP Process. This position will also establish the most effective supply network and planning strategy to ensure proper product availability and collaborate across the Supply Chain to deliver sustainable competitive advantage for the company, their customers, and suppliers. You are a team player who can build strong relationships across all lines of business both internally and externally. You are comfortable supporting multiple high-priority tasks concurrently, challenging the status quo and seeking alternative perspectives, and you thrive in fast-paced, high-energy working environments. If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you.Key AccountabilitiesOversee the development of Master Production Schedules (MPS), ensuring all relevant constraints are considered, including line capacity, labour availability, batch sizes, run rates, bottlenecks, and planned downtime.Influence and optimize planning parameters and assumptions, including production cycle times, sequencing, demand volatility, changeovers, throughput, inventory targets, stock-building strategies, and warehouse constraints.Respond effectively to unplanned downtime, by quickly assessing the projected impact, understanding root causes, and developing practical recovery plans to restore supply while minimizing service and cost impacts.Operate effectively in a high-volatility environment, maintaining composure and decision quality amid frequent changes in demand, supply constraints, and operational disruptions.Play a strategic role in the analysis, interpretation, and communication of production line and network capacity, including identifying risks and escalation requirements.Lead Supply Reviews as part of the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and operational constraints.Partner closely with Sales and Supply Chain stakeholders to understand key customer requirements and support the execution of promotional and commercial plans.Develop contingency plans and scenario analyses to support new product launches, product discontinuations, line start-ups, and other major operational changes.Provide direct leadership and supervision to production schedulers, including prioritization, coaching, performance management, and ensuring consistent application of planning standards and best practices.Requirements3-5 years of experience in production planning/ Master production scheduling/ capacity management in FMCG companies;Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management;Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Industrial Engineering or other business related field;Intermediate to advanced Excel skillsPreference to candidates with people management experiencePreference to candidates with experience in Fresh Food business;Preference to candidates with experience in system implementation and supply optimization.Sofina Foods Inc. is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (‘AODA’).
