Working closely with the whole design team, the Designer will partner on a continuous basis to successfully create product that supports the Joe Fresh brand. The Designer will work cross-functional teams to achieve business and profit objectives while adhering to the brand strategy.What you'll do:Responsible for creating brand-right apparel product for Joe FreshResearch, conceptualize, and design styles from concept to protoCreate and maintain product line sheets according to SKU plans, sales needs, and emerging trendsSketch product in Illustrator and 3D CLO applicationCreate and maintain styles in PLM (Centric) during the development processAdheres to design development deadlines in accordance with the corporate calendarLead the development and management of tech packs in PLMPartner with buying teams to understand how the line is currently performing in stores – quarterly stores, lead design meetings, and action feedback for continual innovation and/or improvement of productResponsible for understanding the impact of your decisions on timelines and marginsAttends development fittingsCollaborate with Product Development, Raw Materials, Technical Design, and QA to support execution of productMentor and develop Assistant Designer (if applicable)Global travel for research / concept and product development may be requiredAll other duties as assignedWhat you'll bring:Degree (or equivalent) in Fashion DesignMust have minimum of 5 years of experience in the fashion industryMust have a strong understanding of fabrications for woven’s, knits and sweater yarnsMust have a strong understanding of colour, print, fabric, fit, and garment constructionMust have a team-oriented attitude and an eagerness to learnStrong organizational skills and strong sense of urgency and initiative – we work in a fast-paced environment and those skills are essentialMust be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and PLMMust have experience in or have the desire to learn 3D application: CLOHow You’ll Succeed: At Joe Fresh, we seek great people to continually strengthen our culture.
