One of our esteemed clients in the insurance industry is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. The primary focus of this role will be on reporting for two insurance entities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting, with significant interaction with actuarial consultants, IFRS 17 managed solution providers, and auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end and quarter-end reporting processes for the two insurance entities under IFRS 17.
  • Collaborate closely with actuarial consultants, IFRS 17 managed solution providers, and auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.
  • Prepare items for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, including E-18 risk analysis and reinsurance reviews.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of financial data and provide insights to drive decision-making.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends related to IFRS 17 and other relevant standards.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by senior management.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior financial analysts within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting within the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of IFRS 17.
  • Experience working with actuarial consultants, managed solution providers, and external auditors.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
