Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing program has provided high-quality community health care solutions to Canada's North since 1997. Our Healthcare Professionals work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and Métis), providing care to community members. We hire passionate team-members from all over Canada who travel on assignments to remote northern communities of Manitoba. We provide a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure at the same time Average assignment durations start from 2 weeks.The Work You Will DoParamedics will primarily work in clinic-based environments and perform an expanded role in these communities, providing primary and emergency care to all residents –from newborn to elders –through a nursing station / Health Center in a clinic atmosphereHealth Promotion, Assessments, support and implementing care using Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines; primary care and emergency careWorking as part of a care-team with nurses in a clinic with urgent/non‐urgent walk‐ins, similar to a walk‐in clinic here as well as primary care follow ups, similar to you going to your doctor’s office for a prescription/test/follow‐up on a condition. They also serve as ER in communities with no ER.Acute and primary careAbility to think & react quickly and prioritize patient needs. No physicians on site.
