JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration:Until October 31, 2024

Our client a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a QA / QC Test Analyst - iOS and Android to develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:
  • Stand-up Meeting, Sprint planning, test scheduling and test execution
  • Testas per the Acceptance criteria defined in user stories
  • iOS / Android App installation using XCode / Android Studio
  • Validateclient side and server-side error messages, requests / responses through Charles Proxy
  • Create Test Strategy, come up with Test Device Matrix and review with program team
  • Execute test scenarios, scripts, or procedures
  • Exploratory Testing, Backward compatibility testing
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
  • ValidateAPI endpoints using Dynatrace
  • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
  • Create or maintain databases of known test defects
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Must-Have Skills:
  • 5 to 7 years of hands-on Testing experience with both Native iOS & Android mobile and web apps
  • 2+ years’ Mobile Banking testing experience
  • 2 + years’ native accessibility testing using JAWS Screen Reader + Screen Magnifying tools (all mobile testers run accessibility testing and work with team on developers)
  • 1 to 2 years Trading testing experience
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • 2 to 3 years Automation testing experience a big asset
  • French testing experience
  • Recent relevant Banking Industry Experience
Soft Skills Required:
  • Excellent communications skills to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight
  • Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running
  • Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
  • Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding
Education:
  • Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
  • ISTQB certification
