The Vice-President of Sales & Marketing is an accomplished and strategic leader with a proven track record in driving sales excellence and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of leading a high-performing sales team, growing sales, shaping impactful marketing initiatives, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of Charlotte Products Ltd. in both North American and select international markets.

This position works closely with the Vice-President of Brand Development to create a seamless and aligned approach that maximizes the impact of the Charlotte brand in the market, which will be crucial for driving overall business growth and success.

Primary Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Results:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Drive accelerated sales growth by strategically launching existing and upcoming product category initiatives into the market.
  • Build and execute a long-term business plan for Charlotte’s brand categories, including hand care, dishwash and laundry, concrete, all organic brand, and new disinfectants.
  • Manage direct sales to major customers and national account development.
  • Champion distributor development initiatives in both Canada & the U.S., fostering channel development to achieve sales growth targets.
  • Review Gr oss Margin Profit for b oth Canada and U.S. Sales with CEO and reporting regions monthly.

Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide strategic direction for sales activities including pricing, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with Directors and Regional Sales Managers to ensure consistent implementation of sales strategies across different markets and territories.
  • Oversee the management of sales funnels; track and manage new account roll-outs.
  • Effectively lead the Sales team through the use and training of Charlotte’s CRM.

Marketing Strategy and Brand Management:

  • Define and implement marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and positioning in the cleaning chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Oversee the development o f marketing collateral, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines and effectively communicates value propositions to customers.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create engaging campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain close personal contact with top echelon customers and prospects.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Utilize customer feedback to inform product improvements and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
  • Implement a robust system for analyzing sales performance, including key metrics such as conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and sales pipeline development.
  • Use data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the sales process.
  • Provide regular reports to the CEO and leadership team on sales performance, highlighting opportunities for improvement and success.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet business objectives.
  • Manage expen ses and costs in line with the departmental budget.
  • Manage profitability and operating expenses within budget and report to the CEO monthly.
  • Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize ROI on sales and marketing initiatives.

Industry Engagement:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
  • Represent Charlotte Products Ltd. at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand visibility and network with key stakeholders.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

What do you need?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Sales/Marketing or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional leadership ability to motivate, train, and manage for results.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and marketing leadership roles within the B2B space, preferably in the liquid cleaning products sector.
  • 10+ years of international sales experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience executing robust and comprehensive strategic plans for sales initiatives in both Canada and U.S.
  • Proven experience in identifying, hiring, and retaining qualified sales Directors, Managers, and professionals.
  • Experience with digital marketing, e-commerce, and data analytics tools and platforms is desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to liquid cleaning products is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Strong business, financial, operations, and technical acumen.
  • Exceptional consultative selling skills.
  • Computer literacy, including confidence with Google and MS Windows-based applications and any Sales related technology, including CRM.
