About the Role We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who loves ownership, automation, and impact to directly power a fast-growing product. In this role, you’ll design resilient, high‑ing systems and raise the bar on reliability, security, and observability across the platform. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, data, testing, and security, partnering closely with teams to streamline deployments, strengthen compliance, and respond decisively to critical issues when they matter most. From building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code to applying best‑in‑class DevOps practices, you’ll shape how we build and operate in the cloud. What You’ll Do Own and scale ZayZoon’s AWS infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and security. Design and automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation, build CI/CD pipelines, and manage existing infrastructure stacks. Optimize our PostgreSQL databases for high availability and performance. Improve monitoring and observability, ensuring detection and a proactive resolution of issues. Design secure (SOC‑2 and cybersecurity compliant) scalable cloud services in AWS. Evaluate and remediate Critical and High CVEs across all our services immediately. Work cross‑functionally across multiple teams such as development, data, testing, and security to convey concepts and improve deployment processes. Apply DevOps best practices in everything you do, bringing innovative solutions to our environment. You Bring 5+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience in AWS or GCP. 3+ years of experience with Python or an equivalent high‑level language (Go, Ruby, etc.). Knowledge of Bash and SQL. Experience with CloudFormation or other IaC tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or equivalent. Experience with CloudWatch and ECS running on Fargate, with CodePipeline and native deployments. Experience building efficient CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or an equivalent. Ability to deep‑dive into CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other logging tools such as Athena to diagnose problems.
