Our mission is to maintain a best-in-class portfolio that consistently delivers excellence in care and services while ensuring economic sustainability.Reporting to the Food Service Manager the Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role in enriching the lives of residents by providing nutritious and delicious meals, that are prepared and served with love. If you are ready to be part of a great team that is passionate about their work and improving the lives of our Residents, this is the role for youThis is a Part Time role with a 4:15pm-7:45pm schedule including a rotational weekend schedule, though extended hours may be required from time to time. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring high attention to detail and strong time management skills. The role includes regular use of computer systems and collaboration with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labelingAssisting cooks in basic food preparationExecuting proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocolsServing meals according to Resident diet ordersWashing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining roomKnowledge and Skills RequiredMandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes ActPossess a current Safe Food Handling CertificateHave a caring heart with a passion for serving othersPassion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care settingExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated ability to be a team playerA negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of hire date.Completion of a 2 Step TB Skin test within the last 12 months.We would like to thank all applicants for your interest in working as part of our team Only those applicants selected to move forward in the recruitment process will be contacted.Southbridge welcomes those applicants with disability related needs and those whom a need for accommodation in the recruitment process.
