What you will do:
  • Dremio installation in containers.
  • Resolve issues related to metadata refresh.
  • Data pipeline, query slowness, Tuning SQLs, Prod issue investigation.
  • Checking logs & provide resolution.
  • Dremio load testing.
  • Vulnerabilities resolution.
What you bring to the role:

Mandatory skills:

  • Overall 6+ years of technical support experience.
  • Deep understanding of Dremio's architecture.
  • Proficient in data virtualization principles and processes.
  • Ability to manage and integrate diverse data sources.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in query tuning and optimization to enhance database performance.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies to deploy and manage applications in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with various file systems (e.g., HDFS, Parquet, JSON) and data partitioning strategies to optimize data storage and access.
  • Knowledge of how APIs work to facilitate data integration and automation.
Nice to have:
  • Python: Experience with Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Spark: Familiarity with Apache Spark for big data processing and analytics.
  • Databricks: Knowledge of Databricks for collaborative data science and engineering.
  • Cloud Exposure: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to manage data solutions in a cloud environment.
Working Arrangements:

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in our client's office in Halifax, NS. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various well-being programs.
