Job Title: Construction Health and Safety Manager
Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager with a background in construction to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our construction sites and fostering a culture of safety among our workforce.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures specific to construction activities, in compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective measures to mitigate potential accidents or injuries.
Provide leadership and guidance to site personnel on health and safety practices, procedures, and regulations.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety requirements and promote a proactive approach to safety management.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and incorporate them into the company's health and safety program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
Certified Health and Safety Professional (CHSP) designation preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in health and safety management within the construction industry.
Thorough knowledge of construction safety regulations, codes, and standards, with a focus on Ontario regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
