Our client is a manufacturing company in the industrial sector, based in Montreal. As a long-established private company, it stands out for its profitability and ambitious future projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the technical and project management aspects of a product's lifecycle. Reporting to the Product Development Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the Technical Group.

Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support the resources assigned to tasks related to product development or continuous improvement projects.
Plan, maintain, and communicate project timelines and changes.
Contribute to the technical design, development, and improvement of all products within the organization.
Review and approve mechanical drawings and electrical schematics related to the project.
Conduct and document testing activities to support product development and continuous improvement projects.
Participate in the assembly of prototypes and/or the installation of existing equipment parts (mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic).
Learn and maintain product knowledge and provide technical support to all internal departments.
Manage engineering changes for assigned products.
Participate in quality and continuous improvement review meetings and support initiatives and actions when required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical college diploma (specialized in mechanical or electrical).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management and leading project teams, especially in product development and continuous improvement projects.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to solve technical problems with minimal supervision.
Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), bilingualism required.
Leadership and advanced planning skills.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).
Energy and results-oriented mindset.
Knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.
Familiarity with technical software (CAD - Computer-Aided Design or CAE - Computer-Aided Engineering) is an asset.
Programming skills and knowledge of certification standards (UL, CSA, NSF) are assets.
