Software Engineering Team Lead

Location: Fully Remote
Employment Type: Long-term contract

Our client is a modern and reputed US company working in the health insurance sector. Their mission is to provide their customers with the best health insurance services possible. They believe in technology and innovation, and that's why they are looking for a Software Engineering Team Lead who has a strong background in the Microsoft tech stack and who is passionate about coding and managing people.

We are seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead with 10+ years of experience in .NET and Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate should be a strong coder who can work 50% of their time on coding and 50% managing people. The candidate should be able to lead a team of developers, coordinate with other departments, and be responsible for the overall software development process.

Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of developers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products
Work closely with the product team to understand the requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Develop, test and deploy software using the Microsoft tech stack (C#, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server)
Work with other departments to identify areas where technology can improve business processes
Ensure that the software development process is following industry best practices and standards
Hire and train new developers as needed

Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on the Microsoft tech stack
Strong coding skills in C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience managing and leading a team of developers
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Experience working in the health insurance sector is a plus
