We are currently on the lookout for skilled Heavy Duty Trailer/Tractor Mechanics to join our workforce at our Sudbury Terminal . Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, this role involves various routine maintenance tasks on our Tractor fleet.
WHAT YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :
Perform routine maintenance checks and services
Conduct electrical, interior, air brake system, tire, body repairs, and welding when necessary
Carry out safety inspections
Replace or repair equipment as needed
Evaluate equipment for repair requirements
Identify and report malfunctions on company equipment
Collaborate with other maintenance staff and the terminal to establish repair priorities
WHAT YOU NEED :
Red Seal certification or an apprentice at any stage, or willingness to enroll in an apprenticeship program
High school diploma with at least 2 years of work experience
Basic set of hand tools
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Excellent work ethic, capable of working both independently and in a team setting
Wide-ranging knowledge and hands-on experience with tools
Proficiency in utilizing the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment
Experience in preventative maintenance across various areas including electrical, interior, air brake, tire, and body-related maintenance
