POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager, Petroleum Supply, the Fuel Inventory Control Analyst stewards the enterprise fuel inventory management process developed by the Fuel Inventory Advisor. The role is accountable for the daily oversight of activities related to the movement of inventory across the UFA Petroleum Network.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Execute and maintain proactive fuel inventory management processes, mitigating risk, financial and environmental, for UFA. Ensure regulatory compliance, fuel specific, identification and monitoring across the Petroleum Network. Accountable for the process of leak detection and prevention.
Proactively analyze fuel movements and implement industry best practice for investigation, trending and analytics. In collaboration with the Fuel Control Specialist provide subject matter expertise to the UFA Network, related to fuel inventory management and associated functions. Maintain accurate fuel inventory management records, electronic and physical, as required to meet regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and analyze fuel movements and reconciling variances across the Petroleum network; providing timely and accurate daily assistance and issue resolution. Monitor fuel movements and collaborate with vendors, agents, and support teams to resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion; escalating as needed.
Collaborate with Fuel Control Specialist and perform annual inventory reconciliation to physical inventory, through coordination of resources.
Recommend and implement of continuous Improvement opportunities, closing identified gaps and establishing additional control measures; process and systems. Recommend improvements in process and procedure documentation for all Fuel Inventory Control Analyst functions and tasks.
Participate in weekly analytics review with stakeholders, focusing on areas of concern related to loss prevention, environmental, and financial risks.
Collaborate with business solutions team, providing business expertise and solution recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
Collaborate and liaison with stakeholders at all levels, identifying action plans and best practices for the Petroleum Network, including but not limited to Engineering, Operations, Environment, Health and Safety, and maintenance contractors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree, in Supply Chain Management, Account, Economics, Finance or related field; or 5 years’ direct industry experience. 2 years’ experience in the Petroleum industry with a focus on operations or supply chain
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand problems making timely and reasonable recommendations for corrective action; including financial impacts
Reconciliation experience, considered an asset
Ability to travel, as required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Working knowledge of Enterprise Systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suites.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and systems quickly and easily
