PHL Capital Corp. is currently seeking a motivated Mortgage Analyst to join their fantastic team. Working in collaboration with various internal departments, as the successful candidate you will be a main point of contact for borrowers and mortgage brokers. With your keen organizational skills and attention to detail, you will handle the administrative aspects of the mortgage application and mortgage renewal process, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is received and processed in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:

Manage all mortgage maturities and the mortgage renewal process, ensuring maturing mortgages are either renewed, paid out or refinanced;

Assist other Mortgage Analysts in underwriting mortgage investments and creating mortgage summaries to be reviewed by the credit committee;

Prepare, organize, and categorize mortgage files in preparation for reviews by directors, banks, and auditors;

Follow-up on late payments and outstanding mortgage documentation for both new deals and renewals;

Foster relationships with mortgage brokers and brokerages;

Ensure that all work is handled in full compliance within company and provincial guidelines and standards;

Other tasks and responsibilities as required.

Requirements
Post-Secondary education with an emphasis on business administration or equivalent;

1-3 years' experience in real estate, conveyancing, mortgage financing, banking or credit unions is considered a strong asset;

Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic;

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with various individuals inside and outside the organization;

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;

Outstanding organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail;

Ability to multitask and prioritize time-sensitive matters;

Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Our company values a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering results while maintaining a positive and collaborative atmosphere;

Extensive experience using MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook);

Appropriately licensed in BC or a willingness to complete the Mortgage Brokerage in BC course within 3 months.

This is a full-time hybrid opportunity (Monday to Friday) with the successful candidate working on site 4 days a week. The base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per annum based on experience with full benefits as a part of the competitive total rewards package.
