First Student, as the leading student transportation provider in North America, is currently seeking a 310T License Mechanic
Joining us as a 310T Licensed Mechanic at First Student means you'll be playing a crucial role in maintaining and repairing school buses, guaranteeing vehicle readiness and safety, all while mentoring Apprentice Mechanics.

Your Responsibilities:
Accurately diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair with minimal supervision, covering repairs such as brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, and more
Overhaul and reinstall mechanical components under minimal supervision
Lead preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections
Ensure proper and accurate completion of work orders, managing records of all maintenance work done
Identify potentially hazardous equipment and take necessary corrective actions
Review completed work before final release, obtaining approvals when needed
Manage road calls and emergency services as required
Adhere to First Student's standards, policies, and procedures
Safely move vehicles between job sites and work areas
Carry out additional duties as assigned or necessary
Willingness to engage in the ASE certification program, with training, testing, and bonuses offered
Your Qualifications:
Must possess the required Mechanic license
Valid driver's license is a must
Essential mechanic's tool set needed
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficient computer skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Willingness to work assigned shifts
