Our client, a company in operation for more than two decades already located on the South Shore of Montreal, is a leader in building industrial equipment, more specifically in the field of pumps. They are currently looking for a mechanical assistant to support their team in their plant in Candiac.

The tasks consist of:

Identifying the causes of defects in the company product.

Preparing, cleaning and inspecting mechanical parts.

Carrying out general repairs.

Carrying out general machining on a conventional milling machine/lathe.

Carrying out modifications/adjustments to the truck, if necessary, related to the pump system.

Assembling equipment according to plans.

Doing repairs at customer locations.

Applying occupational health and safety rules.

Carrying out any other tasks required by the supervisor.

Requirements:

DVS in Industrial Mechanics or a related field (asset).

Experience driving a forklift (asset).

Experience in the field of pumps (asset).

Experience in industrial environments (asset).

Ability to speak French.

Basic mechanical knowledge.

Attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will:

Have manual dexterity.

Ease of working with tools.

Be precise, rigorous and organized.

Have autonomy and initiative.
