A Project Engineer (PE) will liaison between the Project Manager (PM), customer and technical disciplines involves in the project. At site, the Project Engineer will interact with the customer on technical matters and collaborate with project manager and Superintendent to communicate the technical requirements and ensure the project is executed according to the design and installation plans.

The Project Engineer must be willing to travel throughout North American and Europe. Project site conditions are comparable to construction environments found in Oil & Gas industries, shipyards, industrial sites and nuclear facilities.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Collaborate with project team to develop the project schedule and technical requirements.

Prepare project status reports during execution.

Identify, prevent, and manage risks.

Perform any other relevant, project-related duties when needed.

Interface with the customer to communicate project status and technical considerations.

Participate in client meetings as required and ensure customer satisfaction.

Serves as a technical resource for the Project Management Team.

Create drawings and prepare technical documentation used in design and construction.

May act as Project Manager on smaller projects.

Key Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor of Mechanical, Material or Welding Engineering preferred. Technical college diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience will be accepted.

2-5 years’ work experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering or project management

Work experience in construction and welding is an asset
