*Duties include (but are not limited to):*
* Provides nursing care consistent with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards, Long-Term Care sector legislation, and the organizational policies and practices.
* Completes all appropriate / assigned assessments within the required time frames.
* Supervises care provided by the Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
* Assists the Registered Nurse in the oversight of the building, after hours and on weekends.
* Observes and reports significant changes in the resident’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social conditions in a manner that demonstrates respect and maintains privacy and confidentiality for each resident.
* Maintains accurate, timely and complete clinical records on all residents according to established documentation policies and procedures and ensures the confidentiality of these records.
* Administration of medication following all medication management policies
* Maintains effective communication and positive, professional interpersonal relationships with residents, colleagues, families, visitors, medical, allied staff members and internal/external stakeholders.
* Participates in all required education.
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse/Director of Care

Braemar Retirement Centre (MacGowan Nursing Home) is an accredited 69 bed licensed Long Term Care facility located in Wingham, Ontario. Braemar is a proud RNAO Best Practice Spotlight organization and a DementiAbility certified home who aims to provide a collaborative, person-centered environment for staff and residents alike.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $28.37 per hour
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Evening shift
* Morning shift
* Weekends as needed
