Medical Laboratory Technology Science Program (MLTS) Instructor (Full-time Probationary) Location: Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Job Summary The College of New Caledonia is looking for a full‑time probationary faculty member to teach in the Medical Laboratory Technology Science Program. This position is responsible for both theory and lab instruction in the first year of the program and may include supervision and monitoring of second‑year students’ progression and evaluation while in their practicum. In addition, the instructor may be responsible for dealing with program issues over the summer, arranging and organizing practicum placements, and may be required to travel throughout the province. Skills & Qualifications Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma, with current membership and certification with CSMLS; preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree (or degree in progress) in a field related to medical laboratory technology education or the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) Advanced Registered Technologist Certificate (or in progress). Five years of recent experience in the profession. Teaching experience in medical laboratory technology education and a diversity of employment experience, including administration and/or project work is preferred. Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and to set priorities. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with an ongoing interest in student success and lifelong learning. Excellent communication skills are required.
