Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeCA$45,000.00/yr – CA$55,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesWork within a project team of engineers and designers in our Civil Group.Apply detailed technical knowledge of structural engineering design, including steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations.Gain knowledge of civil works including site preparation, earthworks, and retaining walls.Apply adequate knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standards.Proficient in software applicable to structural engineering design such as STAAD‑Pro.Strong understanding of safety in design principles.Ability to lead a small to medium‑size design project from start to completion with minimal oversight.Results‑oriented and self‑driven, juggling multiple projects and meeting project deadlines.Strong, confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to write clear and concise documents and explain technical information to internal and external parties.Client‑focused – attending client meetings and maintaining good working relationships with clients.Preference will be given to candidates who can stay for eight months or longer.QualificationsMinimum 3rd or 4th year student in Civil/Structural engineering program.Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an attention to detail.Able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.As a condition of employment, successful applicants must undergo a background check, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check.Phasor Engineering Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.
